When you give to Youth for Christ, you are giving the love of God through his son Jesus Christ to the kids that need it most!

Every week from Rifle to Glenwood we meet with kids faced with the difficulties of living in a fallen world.  Kids are weighed down by negative self-image, pressures of fitting in, pressures of achievement in school and sports, and health concerns of the pandemic. But many of our kids are dealing with some of life’s hardest challenges in life like divorce, cancer and other major illnesses, the death of a parent, the death of a friend, or just the feeling of being completely overwhelmed with life.

We are there to love them and let them know they are not alone.  Yes, Youth for Christ is there for the kids in desperate need, but more importantly we share with them that Jesus is there for them always!

It is because of your support that we can do this, and I feel the need to report back to you that we are doing what you expect of us – boldly sharing the promise God made to each of us!

In speaking to the Church of Corinth (2 Corinthians 3:16-17), Paul addresses the preaching of the Gospel, and asks the question, “…Who is sufficient for these things? For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God’s word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ”

I love his answer (to his own question, hahaha), as it is a good illustration of how your support is delivered by the staff and volunteers of Youth for Christ to the kids.  Read 2 Corinthians 3:1-3 below and understand that the love you have for the youth in our community is written on our hearts as we interact with our students!

2 Corinthians 3:2-3

3 Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some do, letters of recommendation to you, or from you? 2 You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on our hearts, to be known and read by all. 3 And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

We have included this update letter with your 2021 year end giving statement.  We are so grateful for your support, and are blessed to get the opportunity to do this work for our community.  As you consider your level of support for this upcoming year, trust that we are working together with our Board of Directors, school teachers and administrators, local churches, and other like minded partners to be faithful stewards of your donation as we aim to reach every 11-19 year old kid in our community with the good news of Jesus Christ!

Enjoy this day!
